Point of View: An Anthology of the Moving Image

Back in 2003, the New Museum put together a historical survey of video art, bringing together artists from different generations and cultural perspectives to gage the cultural importance of the medium at that time. Simultaneously the museum released an anthology containing all of the works, a publication designed to make video art more accessible, and to fully utilize the qualities inherent to the medium. FDM’s Cinema Society will present selections from this anthology including works by Francis Alys, Gary Hill, Pierre Huyghe, Joan Jonas, Isaac Julien, William Kentridge, Pipilotti Rist and Anri Sala.
