Aaron Reed (DANM '11) and Jacob Garbe (DANM '13) will be exhibiting their collaborative work Ice-Bound at the Book Lab Exhibit at swiisnex in San Francisco, October 22 - November 1.  The exhibit is part of the Futures of the Book program, which is a "week of discussions about the future of reading and writing in the digital age" and is organized by such partners as the Berkeley Center for New Media, the Goethe Institute, and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States.

Both Aaron and Jacob have continued their DANM MFA research in the CS PhD program at UCSC. Their narrative experience Ice-Bound "uses procedural generation and augmented reality to help create a truly unique experience where story and gameplay melt into one another."
