co-related space protyping

Saturday, February 15, 2014 - 10:30pm to Sunday, February 16, 2014 - 12:00am
Digital Art Research Center, UCSC, DarkLab

Wes Modes, DANM '15, will be hosting a live prototyping exercise for his piece, Co-related Space:

Co-related Space is an interactive multimedia installation that engages the themes of presence, interaction, and place. It is a  work that encourages playful interactions between participants and visually and sonically transforms a regularly trafficked space.

This will help us learn what we can about the piece as we start building out the hardware and creating the programming. The exercise will be a huge contribution to my research, though I expect the prototyping exercise will feel more like an improv game.

There will be lasers. There will be live musicians playing an interactive score.  There will be cookies and milk and/or coffee.  We will be filming and recording this madness.

There are 20 participant spaces, so contact Wes to get one of the tickets.
