Digital Art and New Media

I am an infovore. A pattern-seeker. I am building a cathedral composed of unlikely materials.

As an artist I am interested in the novel use of cutting-edge technologies such as augmented reality, projection mapping and Kinect hacking to change the way people perceive space. As a writer I am concerned with the way these technologies can open up new ways to interact with and experience narrative.

I feel that beyond the need to push the boundaries on implementation, what makes new media art important is its ability to tell stories and communicate experiences that could not occur otherwise with another medium. What I struggle to answer with each project is "how is this the only way this could be told?". I don't think I've answered that question yet, but I'm getting closer.
