1. What is the larger Purpose of website?

2. Homework: think about priviledges to the website. Structure access issues: Who sees what? Build a system of priviledges. Describe in detail step by step administration of our workshops. Spec out number of cameras, days, days with camera, how it is going to happen within the context of your site.

3. Compare our editing tool with Kaltura editing tool and Jump Cut?.

4. Our Kaltura account:

login: pculture password:pculture

5. Think about conferences to participate in particular Amsterdam Conference.

6. Next meeting start with discussing user page and the users representation within palabras overall in its relation with the invite to collaborate on a sequence notion and we are going to continue to talk about collaborative editing.

I. How we envision our Home Page:

List of different sites with descriptions and public videos (that they have decided) with an email to ask to be added as sites (Random groups that wanted to be added as sites they can email us), link to a login/password page. (No further access to website) 4 Levels of Access – Individual, Intra site (within site), Inter Site (between sites), Public/World (the world can’t edit)

Options per site: Options such as everyone in my site can edit, everyone in the world can see it. Options per clip: How do I want people to see it/How do I want people to use it - lists that you can click. To decide when you are uploading clip. You can change it in your user page. Options per sequence: Same two lists, to decide when you are saving sequence. You can change it in your user page.

II. Individual user pages:

User clips with comments User sequences

Access

Access

III. Homepage display of sites:

Do we want to grant the possibility to allow groups to take themselves off the main page. This option can be allowed as a preference.

IV. In our editing tool we need a delete option.

V. Angela’s idea of having temporary access to users to the editor. Just like kaltura.com where they can try out editing tools, not upload their own clips but work with embedded clips that we would put up there.

VI. Last quarter we talked about having each site create their own introductory video.

VII. Collaborative Editing:

Ideas for our paper:

Last Meeting:
