Phoenix’s virtual reality browser / web map project will allow participants to create objects and place them on specific coordinates on the web map corresponding to those coordinates in a city or town. Participants can then use this browser / map, accessing it with their mobile device, when traveling through the physical territory of the city or town to see, hear, read and / or experience their own contributions and the contributions of others to the browser / map. The project aims to reorganize participants’ relationship with the virtual and the material, flipping the usual move from material to virtual by bringing the virtual into the material. Also, our cluster questioned his target audience and how he planned to elicit contributions to the work.
