5 minutes:      Showing of An Inconvenient Truth trailer (3:00min)
10 min.:        Important Terms:

•       Video: Footage filmed using DV Camera
•       Project: IMovie file
•       Movie: Final result of IMovie Project – Ready to share
•       Rendering: Process IMovie goes through to produce a movie (Export/Share)
•       Clip: Small(er) chunks of sound or video used in Project
•       Capture: Process of transferring (something) from one device to another
(Ex.: video from camera to computer)
•       Import: Process of inserting (something) from computer disk into Project
•       Assets/Contents: images (photos), video (from DV camera), sound (music and narration)

30 min.:        Tech Demo: Creating a 45 second slideshow from start to finish

1.      Ingredients:
a.      Camera (Tape/Memory, Cables)
b.      Computer: Mac
c.      Applications: Image Capture, IMovie
d.      Files: Location in hard disk
e.      Archive: Long term storage

2.      Preparation Instructions:
a.      Create a New Project
b.      Import Contents
==>     (save)
c.      Arrange Contents in timeline
==>     (save)
d.      Add Title and Credit
==>     (save)
e.      Add Narration
==>     (save, save, SAVE!)

3.      Serving Instructions:
a.      Export Project (WEB) – ‘Rendering’ to create a ‘Movie’
b.      E-mail the Movie to your friends

45 min.:        Practical: (Using Cameras and Creating Slideshow
15 min.:        Class rap-up (saving, Q&A) and ‘homework’ discussion
