Summary_
_Drew seeks to establish a collaborative arts education project which will enable youth in Brazil to create, publish and distribute music and digital video. The scope of the program reaches beyond technical training to include education regarding the effects of mass media on individual consciousness, social relations, and the culture as a whole. Through a progressive sequence of projects, workshops, and collaborative opportunities, participants will be empowered to produce multi-media art works that critique and challenge stereotyping of their culture in the media, and foster greater possibilities for positive social change.
