My candidate for faculty interview was EG Crichton, Professor in the Art Department and Artist in Residence at the San Francisco GLBT Historical Society. We spoke about embracing one's artistic identity, creating art that is based on a participatory ethic, collaborating across disciplines and working with scholars who have nonartistic backgrounds, the importance of failure in the process of collaboration, and performing lives, archives, and desires.
