Nada Miljkovic is an artist researching and developing new forms of cinematic imagery in the virtual realm and exploring gaming technologies.  She has been working in film, radio and other forms of media since the early 90’s collaborating with many great artists.  Most recently, she provided video content for the Tandy Beal and Company’s newest theater production the Here After Here. She is currently working on her Masters in Fine Arts in the Digital Arts and New Media program at University of California Santa Cruz.  Over the years, she has hosted her own weekly radio talk show, Women in the Arts, and music show, written screenplays, and made many movies. Most recently, she completed her first feature length documentary film “Two Villages, One Heart”.  This movie is an entertaining in-depth ethnographic study of the similarities of two seemingly disparate worlds, one in Serbia and the other in California. She won an award for her screenplay a historical drama entitled “The Spear-shaker” based upon the life of Edward De Vere, the 17th Earl of Oxford and possible author of Shakespeare’s plays. She wrote a novel, The Playgroup, based upon her sexy hippy mama friends living and loving in the Santa Cruz Mountains.  She has written many diverse screenplay treatments from her grandfather’s survival as a Nazi prisoner of war, to a young girl’s love of the trumpet and twins separated at birth.  Her work is focused upon engaging people through narratives and installations that inspire understanding and tolerance across socially diverse cultures.  She is currently developing new forms of theatrical and cinematic imagery and interactivity within the virtual realm while exploring gaming technology to stimulate empathy across socially diverse divides.
