http://www.memoryarchive.org/, is an encyclopedia of memories. It is an online system for the collection and display of any memory that user wish to contribute. Of specific interest is a project that they are working on with the Cleavland memory project, http://www.clevelandmemory.org/, to collect memories from a specific city.
Flickr, http://www.flickr.com/, a site for the collection of images, that allows users to imput describing texts. The key feature here is the system of "tagging" images with series of key words that make it possible to navigate between different users images of similar topics.
Media Portrait of the Liberties, 
https://www.cs.tcd.ie/nisiv/liberties.html, a collection of video clips that are reenactments short stories that collected from a specific neighborhood and accessed through hand-held divices that are location aware. The stories then become tied to the locations they are believed to have originally occured. The original stories are taken from a book by a local historian, but the system is hoped to become a means to collect more stories from the local community.
