Project Example:

Documentation in some form of one example project of relevance to your proposed project (not one that you have created or participated in but one that you have seen and/or read about) Be prepared to present and analyze this example for your cluster.

Reeds -- this project is significant to my project idea because it is a Natural Organic Environmental interactive installation.

Questions:

One question for each of the other members of your cluster relative to their proposal presentation this week.

Do you ever feel this "mood and a state of relaxation, meditation and immersion" you talk about in the real world? If so, when? What is your motivation for creating this mood in a virtual world?

Your project proposal is very interesting in that it includes two inverse elements in terms of perception -- the instinct of the hawk and the imagination of the human. This is also interesting because it parallels your own background from the scientific field and the creative realm. You said you would use your imagination to visualize what the hawk would be seeing ... even though the hawk's perception is deeply connected to its instinct. How far are you planning to let yourself go in terms of using this "imagination"?

I noticed that much of your work has an organic/environmental feel to it. In contrast, the light installations you showed all use artificial light. How do these two contrasting elements relate in your work? Have you thought of somehow incorporating your organic touch with your fascination of light?

Will your instrument be for single-player only? Have you considered having each instrument played by more than one person or even having multiple instruments interact (both sonically and visually) with each other? If so, what type of interaction do you have in mind?
