Environmental Digital Video Project
Mount Madonna School and Renaissance H.S.

Breeze and Tim Flying Over the Pajaro River Watershed
INDEX:
Original Proposal:
Research of "relational aesthetics" arts practice and theory whereby a multimedia artist facilitates a collaborative multimedia art project in a high school classroom with the purpose of enabling all participants to digitally generate social messages and then broadcast globally them from a grassroots level to multiple public space venues including physical places, online communities and cable/satellite TV channels.
Description and analysis of work completed:
All materials used by participants will be archived and presented with a summary page about "best practices" and "problems/solutions." Outcomes to include are art videos, a database of content, developmental process documents and evaluations from participant students and teachers. Direct measures of effectiveness and success will be presented with the DANM297 final report as follows:
1. Brief analysis of 4-5 student videos in terms of how they successfully followed course format, or not, and why.
2. Summary analysis of the students’ peer presentations to determine audience impact and overall persuasiveness of video projects.
3. Comparative analysis of individual student evaluations about what technical and non-technical learning they achieved, what are their suggestions for future projects.
4. Comparative analysis of projects presented by each school.
