The purpose of this conference is to address the question of digital humanities from the broader issue and more radical digital studies designed as a general epistemological break - ie affecting all forms of rational knowledge - but as breaking anthropological - to the extent that, through relational technologies, it is also empirical knowledge in all its forms , as they form the basis of all human existence, are altered.
In 2006, the Centre Pompidou founded the Institute for Research and Innovation on initiative of the philosopher Bernard Stiegler. The institute has been created as part of the Centre Pompidou to anticipate, accompany and analyze the transformation of cultural practices enabled by digital technologies, and sometimes even to contribute to their very emergence.
