Christopher Ramirez (DANM '06) was recently featured in the UC Merced Panorama in an article titled, "Making the Leap from the Art of Film to the Art of Teaching."
Christopher has taught writing at UC Merced since January 2008. He is a first-generation college student who received a bachelor’s degree in film and video in 1998 from UC Santa Cruz. After teaching film in New Mexico, he returned to UCSC in 2004 where he received a DANM Master of Fine Arts degree in 2006. While a DANM student he began his career teaching writing that led to his position at UC Merced.
