Marqués, a narco-Macbeth play by Mónica Andrade (DANM '16)

Saturday, February 27, 2016 - 3:30am to Sunday, March 6, 2016 - 11:00pm

UC Santa Cruz alumnus Erik Pearson directs Marqués, a high-octane adaptation of Shakespeare's classic tale of love, betrayal, murder, and madness, set in the world of Mexico's warring narcocartels. An architect and his wife fight for their survival in a deadly game of kings, witches, and kingpins in the land where no good deed goes unpunished. The play was written by partners, Stephen Richter and Mónica Andrade (DANM '16) with media design by Andrade as well.

Post-performance talk-backs on both Saturdays:
Feb. 27 - cast & guests
March 5 - Carla Della Gatta, leading scholar on "Shakespeare and Latinidad," from the University of Southern California
