The Digital Arts Research Center (DARC) is about a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Santa Cruz. Parking can be a challenge. Daily permits are available at the Parking Kiosk and there is limited hourly parking available at the parking lot by DARC.
To visit the Parking Kiosk for a campus parking permit or to ask directions, proceed through the main UCSC entrance at the intersection of Bay and High streets and look for the parking kiosk on your right.
To go directly to the Digital Arts Research Center, proceed northwest on Empire Grade Road for approximately one mile. At the stop light, turn right onto Heller Drive at the West Entrance of UCSC. Proceed up the hill. Just after the fourth stop sign, turn right onto Meyer Drive. The Digital Arts Research Center is at the northeast end of the parking lot.
Bus: Transit District buses and campus shuttles stop on Heller Drive about 1000 feet from DARC (at the Porter College/College Eight bus stops). Walk to our facilities via the stairs and along the path leading to the parking lot.
To visit the DANM office, enter the building and either walk up the stairs in the center of the building or take the elevator to the third floor. The office is DARC 302. Cross the outside balcony, turn right, and DARC 302 is on your left.
Parking
UCSC requires a parking permit on evenings and weekends in our parking lot. Parking permits valid across campus are available for purchase from the kiosk at the main entrance; the parking lot at the DARC also has a limited number of "pay-by-number" spaces serviced by a vending machine in the lot.
Disabled access parking spaces are available in the parking lot near the entrance to the Digital Arts Research Center.
