Black Student Leadership Conference organized by DANM Director Hester

DANM Director Karlton Hester worked with a team of UCSC and Black Students of California United (BSCU) staff and administrators to host the 2023 High School Leadership Conference at UCSC's main campus, which will bring over 400 black high school students to Santa Cruz for a day of leadership training. Keynote speakers include Dr. Angela Davis, Wisdom O. Cole and Sharif El-Mekki.
