BECOME A TYPOGRAPHIC SOPHISTICATE
an introduction to type fonts and typesetting conventions
Felicia Rice
Tuesday, October 30
DARC 206 (4-6)
Typography, the art and technique of arranging type in order to make language visible.
Need a more sophisticated understanding of what font to use when, and how? Based on four decades of typographic practice, Felicia will give a quick tour of font families and their history, as well as typesetting conventions. If you have a type choice conundrum, please bring it for discussion.
"I will be using my own Moving Parts Press projects to illustrate font choice decisions. I'm excited! This will be the first time I have shown my work here at DANM."
